Challenge #171 Sunshine on a Cloudy Day!!!
Looking for my Clear it Out post, scroll down (not as far as last week) and you will find it.
The challenge at Shopping Our Stash to use a sun or clouds on your project, it has been so nice here in SWO over the weekend we sure were not lacking in sunshine. I think August is here lol. I had so many ideas for the challenge but while clearing my desk I found a favourite image and I have probably used it many times for a masculine card. Here is what my take on the challenge was.
I just love this stamp from Stampendous and I have had it for years, the cardstock is Night of Navy and the patterned part is one of my attempts at making a alcohol and re-inker background, the silver just didn’t appear very well but I loved the effect anyway and knew it would come in handy. Next is a close up of the background.
So on my card I have a cloudy background and a beautiful cloud on my image, which was coloured with spectrum noir markers. The circles were cut with large spellbinders plain dies. The sentiment is a rub-on from a package I have had for three years.
Since this is a thank you note card there is no sentiment but I added the light house in the corner and coloured it up too.
Thanks for spending some time here today and find some time to join in the fun at Shopping Our Stash, check out what the rest of the design team have done for the challenge, so many different ideas for the challenge.
It’s time……..for a Colour Challenge, I hope you like it.
Clear it Out Tuesday has a cool colour challenge for you this week…it is GRAY and the stash item is GRAY things. The sponsor is a favourite of mine…..Lacy Sunshine, I love her images and you can win some if you join the challenge. Here is my take on the GRAY challenge.
Of course the colour I used is Basic Gray, I found this great package of patterned paper at Wal-Mart and it is fabulous most of it is gray and pink, don’t you just love those two colours together? The gray buttons are from my stash and the die I used is Romantic rectangles (the second largest) The image you can find in the store and is called EmmiLou Boo”s inchworm.
Close up of the buttons,
Here is the inside of my generic card, it will probably be a birthday one in the end.
Thanks for stopping by today and hope you have some time to join us in the Gray challenge Head over to the CIO Blog and check out the rules while you are there have a look at the fabulous cards the design team has made…..they are all AWESOME.

Halloween Costumes is the theme at The Cheerful Stamp Pad
My friend just informed us on Facebook that Halloween is 31 days away, so are you working on your Halloween costume? The Cheerful Stamp Pad would like to see you make a project with a Halloween costume on it. The sponsor for this challenge is Alipeeps Art at Stitchy Bear Designs. For the first week I chose a really cute pirate and this is how it turned out.
As you can see we spent the weekend at the cottage, it was really beautiful and warm. I brought all the parts for the card with me and just had to assemble it. I still haven’t located my Halloween stamp and of course the sentiment for the inside I usually print off a site on the internet but that didn’t happen as I only have dial up internet at the lake.
Here is the inside…..waiting for the verse.
Thanks for visiting today and please join us at The Cheerful Stamp pad for the Halloween Costume challenge.

I will post the section of mine I used and a spare picture of another part of the curtain wow it is a busy print.

As I said a very busy shower curtain. at the bottom there is a line of a song we sang in church, All things great and small it also has a strip of checkerboard which you see on the birdhouses and the cat’s collar.
Last night I was having a meltdown when I couldn’t find a birdhouse stamp or digi so Lynn to the rescue, she found a site that had a whole whack of birdhouse images, thanks so much for the help Lynn. The stamp set was one of my first sets from Stampin’ up called purrfect and dated 2003. I coloured it up with copics and fussy cut the image so I could pop it up on the front of the card.
This will be one of my generic cards as it could be used for many occasions so I have left the inside blank. I added the mice with cheese to the inside and coloured them up as well. Now lastly I will add the extra picture of my shower curtain and I don’t mind at all if you used it for inspiration just mention it on your blog who’s curtain you used.
So many ideas with my shower curtain.
Thanks for visiting today and I hope you think this challenge is as much fun as all of us at SOS did.Head over to the blog and check out all the great shower curtains and cards the design team has provided for your inspiration.

SOSS Challenge #17 D is for Distressing
I didn’t get to play last challenge (insert sad face here) and I LOVE monochromatic cards but I managed to get one for this week. Now if you follow my blog or know me you won’t be surprised to find out I do NOT like distressing….so on that note here is what I cam up with for the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers challenge 17. Don’t forget to stop by and get the rules and check out what my teammies have done.for your inspiration.
the stamp I used is from Simply Betty Stamps I won it in a challenge from Graphicat designs. The background is Brick red distress ink smeared on the Tim Holt\ brick wall embossing folder on crumb cake cardstock.Happy Haunting was cut with my cuttlebug alpha letters. embellishments spider washi tape and a couple of bats I’ve had for eons. I distressed the edges of two layers with my scissors.
Here is the inside of the card, unfortunately I couldn’t locate my Halloween sentiments. I just added the spider washi tape to the top. I think that is super cute tape.
Thanks for stopping by for a visit today and I hope I have inspired you to join in the fun of DISTRESSING a project. Let out those pent up frustrations on some paper.

Who’s Crazy for Polka dots? The Clear it Out Crew!!!
Challenge #45 at Clear it Out Tuesday is Crazy for Polka Dots the stash item is use polka dot papers. The sponsors are Digital Delights and Melonheadz. The image I used for my card is from Melonhead\ and I think it is adorable. Have a look at what I came up with.
First of all these are colours I don’t often put together but when I saw the polka dot paper it was a given that red and yellow be used. The image was coloured with copics and fussy cut as to show off the background paper. I decided to make this a note card to give to the owners of the Circus Room which is a restaurant at Walsh Station ON located on the corner of Regional road 10 and Highway 2.4
Here is a close-up of the bear and it shows how I popped him up.
Inside of the note card waiting for me to think of something inspirational to say.
I am entering this in …..
Autumn colours on the Melonheadz challenge blog
Thanks for stopping by today and hope to see your project on Clear it out Tuesday for the Crazy for Polka dots challenge.

The sponsor for the challenge is Stitchy Stamps/ The image I chose to use this time is for a masculine card and a golfer at that. You can never have enough masculine cards on hand. Here is how I finished the inside…….

Challenge #44 We want to see some Fancy Folds
Another week another new challenge and Clear it Out Tuesday wants to challenge you to make a fancy fold card. The sponsor for the challenge is Stamp Art by Kathryne. Head over to the blog and check out the rules and while you are there see what the rest of the design team have done.
For my card I used this cute little bear from the sponsor, check out her store there are awesome digis there. For my Fancy fold I made a Tee Pee card, there are a lot of tutorials if you google Tee Pee card and I followed one of them. The stash item is to use punches or die cuts and I used Spellbinders large circles.
Here is a picture of the card flat it fits in a regular A2 envelope. There are several ways to keep the card closed but I used a small piece of velcro.
Until I get my craft supplies unpacked and back where they belong I didn’t get a sentiment on the card I will find the right one to use probably when I need a Girl baby card.
|Thanks for stopping by today and we would love to see what your favourite fancy fold you came up with.

Challenge 94 at the cheerful Stamp Pad continues…….
Due to circumstances beyond my control I didn’t get a card made for the Cheerful Stamp Pad Blog so this week I have two for you to have a look at.Both images are from Lil[ Diva at Stitchy Bear Digi Outlet
Fun in the Jungle is the name of the digi from Lil’ Diva, I think it is just the cutest image, because I haven't unpacked all the boxes of craft things I brought home I didn’t get a sentiment on the front or inside but I am sure it will be done when I need a quick baby card. I made it 5 184 inches square and used my lacy square spellbinder die, and added a couple of cute buttons .

This digi is Lil’ Cowboy and I coloured him up with my copics and fussy cut him out. I wanted to try a background using the Tim Holtz brick wall embossing folder. I inked it up with walnut distress ink and put it through the cuttlebug.Again no sentiment as my Happy Birthday Die is still in one of the boxes to unpack.
Thanks for stopping by today and you still have until next Sunday to add your project for the Anything goes challenge at The Cheerful Stamp Pad.

This week’s Clear it Out challenge is brought to you by…
Bugaboo Stamps one of our favourite sponsors and one of your favourite challenges….Any Thing goes and the stash item is the same ATG. Head over to Clear it Out challenge Blog for all the details and check out what the other design team members have made for your inspiration. There is a DT call so check that out too.
I picked out a sock monkey image to use for my ATC, artist trading card, I coloured with my spectrum noir markers and added white fun flock to the snowballs. The mini sock monkey is a brad.
I haven’t much more to add to this post except to tell you the reason I have been MIA for a little while is I am waiting for laser surgery and on my eyes and it’s difficult to colour but really the hardest part is typing the blog post. Along with that my Hubby has had surgery and I have been spending a lot of time visiting him, things will get easier when he is home. Oh yes everything went well with the surgery.
Thanks for visiting today and don’t forget to play along with the ATG challenge at Clear it Out Tuesday.
