A new challenge has arrived at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers!!! Y is for Yippee!!! A Congratulations project is in order!!! I made it with this challenge in mine and hoped it would all work out (and it did) It makes me think Yippee when anyone reaches 50 years of marriage in this day and age. Here is my offering for the challenge.

Simply done with gold tinged shimmer paper and gold, Sentiment computer generated and the champagne rhinestones are from the Eyelet Outlet.

Inside of the card with a computer generated sentiment from Verses4Cards

Sandcastle, pail and shovel, loader ~~~ where am I?

Tuesday and my time to post on the Eyelet Outlet Blog, as soon as I saw the new spring collection of brads I knew I wanted to make a Seaside scene using the Sandcastle, they are so cute and in the Eyelet Outlet Store now!!!

We spent time camping when our boys were young and I know playtime at the beach includes big trucks, bucket and shovel and seashells and the latter would have been picked up to throw at the brother. I did use a strip of skinny washi tape on a flat spot where the embossing folder didn't quite reach.  Have you heard that there are no mistakes in crafting only opportunities to embellish.

The bucket and shovels are in primary colours and the work trucks are three different designs.

Sandcastle and seashell close-up.

Every beach comes complete with seagulls and these are just adorable and they come in two different designs, flying and standing.

Summer will soon be upon us and what great beach brads to add to any of your summer holiday scrapbook pages.

Thanks for visiting today and happy crafting.

Who Needs a Caffeine Fix?......ME!

Challenge #300 at Shopping Our Stash is Caffeine Fix, I think that speaks for itself, we want to see projects pertaining to tea or coffee. I dug out a favourite stamp, a House Mouse Designs coffee stamp and a Coffee background stamp from Stampendous.

The sentiment and the word die are from Verve Stamps, it was a set I won. The oval and the retangle were cut with Elizabeth Craft Designs dies.

I stamped an extra image and fussy cut the little mousie out and popped him up on the cup.

Sentiment from Verve Stamps and cut it out with a speech bubble.

Finished the inside  and "corrected" the sentiment I also added some coffee stains using a Tim Holtz
stencil which was the first time I have used it.

My neglected items are the Tim Holtz stencil, the Verve stamp and Coffee die, also the House Mouse stamp and the background stamp haven't seen ink in over a year.

Thanks for visiting and I hope you get your Caffeine Fix on and join the fun at Shopping Our Stash.

Celebrating Peace on Earth (day) with the Jingle Belles

Finally I had some time to make a card for the current Jingle Belles Rock challenge Peace on Earth (day) which is April 22, 2017. The idea is to upcycle, recycle, repurpose or reuse at least one element on your card. I have an collection (stash) of previously used cards of all occasions and in this stack I found a small notecard and loved the images and the colours, I am partial to using non-traditional colours on my holiday cards. So here is what I made......

Now you know I love pink Christmas cards. Isn't the image adorable? and it has some sparkle too. Other than the base all other cardstock used was scraps or a miss-cut and was repurposed. I added three tiny pink enamel dots from the Eyelet Outlet and the Merry Christmas die cut from Impression Obsession.

Close up of the image from the note-card.

Finished inside

A Baby Shower Card

Wow that week went fast, it's my turn to post on the Eyelet Outlet Blog today.  Easter weekend and the baby shower are over. I had a request for a card that was gray and yellow and had owls on it, right away I remembered I had Eyelet Outlet "Bright" Owl brads and I was all set!!!

Along with the super cute owls I added a yellow enamel dot also from the Eyelet Outlet. At the shower we had "reveal" cupcakes that when you bit them they were filled with BLUE icing so now we wait for the arrival of our great grandson in June.

Close up of the enamel dot...I love them and they come in many colours and shapes.

Finished the inside with a computer generated sentiment from Verses4you.

Thanks for checking my card using products from the Eyelet Outlet & Brads. The owls are on sale in the store. See you next Tuesday on the Eyelet Outlet Blog.

A Rose by Any Other Name......

New challenge at Shopping Our Stash and it's another really easy one!!! use a ROSE on your project!! It was hard to make a decision on which rose stamp I would use, but decided I would use a Bugaboo digi.

I have had this digi for a long time and the base and frame are cardstock I have had for several years, the package had never been opened.

Since I seem to be short on Birthday cards I finished the  inside with a sentiment from Hero Arts I have had since I first started stamping over 10 years ago.

I would like to enter this in:

Catch the bug April Bingo I used the first column Die/Punch, Bugaboo image, Ribbon.

E is for Elegant ~~ new challenge at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers.

The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers  challenge is Elegant, we want to see a project that is your interpretation on Elegance. Mine is a bit different than the other members cards I wasn't sure it was elegant enough but I liked it and the person I gave this card to was absolutely thrilled over it.  Let's hear what you think...and sorry no snark, it is optional.

I made an Easter card for a friend and used a Cheery Lyn Designs die that I have never used before, I was a bit disappointed when I cut the window as  it just cuts the window in a piece of cardstock and that isn't what my plan was, so I check with pinterest and found some inspiration, cutting the top was a bit of a challenge though, it won't be the last time I use this as it's beautiful. The card base is concord grape, I think deep purple is elegant and at Easter the minister wears purple btw my favourite colour. I cut the window in shimmer cardstock and the layer is also the same but embossed with a CB folder called textile I also think Elegant when I use it especially in white.

I made the church scene with an image off pinterest cut some tiny clouds with an IO cloud die added flowers and pearls from my stash.

The sentiment was found on Verses 4 cards, the praying hands was also found on pinterest and fussy cut. If you are in need of sentiments it's a great site.

Thanks for visiting today and have a wonderful Easter weekend.

Fly Me to the Moon ~~~

Tuesday ~ my day to post on the Eyelet Outlet Blog and I was so excited to get some monster brads and I had a plan and it's always nice when a plan works out.

Along with the super cute Monster Brads from the Eyelet Outlet I used Enamel Stars, Arrow Birthday Brads,  Red Swirl Jewels and awesome Washi Tape.

I knew that the washi tape would make an awesome background for the rocket ship and the red swirls would work for the flames

These little guys look so happy to be traveling in space.

love those arrow brads, everything I've used is available in the Eyelet Outlet Store and there is so much more it's worth the "virtual trip" to check out the store, don't forget to check out the daily specials too.

Finished inside of the card,

When I showed my card to Hubby he loved it, he asked who it was for and then said he would even love to receive it.

Shopping Our Stash #297 ~~ Punches and/or Dies

Another new challenge at Shopping Our Stash and it's an easy one, we want you to use punches and/or dies on your project. I love using my dies they seem to get me motivated to create something with them. I started out making an Easter card, but it wasn't going well and when that happens I just pack everything pertaining to the project up and move on. I started making a card for the Jingle Belles Rock challenge when I got everything cut and ready I realized  "mr. linky" had closed. I am so far behind with my Christmas stash that even though it will soon be Easter I have made a Christmas card.

Everything was already cut and in my "stash box" all I had to do was cut the sentiment, emboss the background and glue/tape it together.

Quite often I will cut brown and white deer as I like to check to see which matches my background better so this pair was all ready waiting

Finished inside

The dies I used are.

stitched ovals EC designs
IO Die 117C (small deer)
IO Tree die (set of three)
Plain landscape die (one of a set of 3) unmarked.
IO Merry Christmas Die.

I would like to enter this in:

So get out your punches and/or dies and make us a project at Shopping Our Stash, check out the blog and see what the rest of the team have made.

Have a Wonderful Day!!!

For a Wonderful Mother

Hi it's Barbara and it's my day to post on the Eyelet Outlet Blog and I have a Mother's Day card to show you. I took Stephanie's idea with washi tape and it worked beautifully.

I used the colouring book wide washi tape from the Eyelet Outlet and Brads store and covered a piece of rose cardstock, I layered it on another piece of rose and on a white base.

Look at these gorgeous paper flowers and the pearl/silver brads I used for the centers, the flowers come in a package of 40, both flowers and centers can be found at the Eyelet Outlet & Brads.

Of course being a Mother's day card I had to use some of the Eyelet Outlet's swirly jewels which not only come in clear they also come in colours and pearls as well.

These are all the items from the Eyelet Outlet I have used
Wide washi tape
narrow pink glitter tape
Swirly jewels
pearl / silver brads
and
Gorgeous pink paper flower
P.S. they come in all colours too.

I couldn't believe how fast this card came together using these awesome supplies from the

Shopping Our Stash #297 ~~ Tie One On

No we are not heading out to the bar.....Shopping Our Stash want you to use ribbon, twine, ric-rac, cord, yarn etc. on your project. I loved the side by side challenge so well I just had to make another step card, my favourite, a tall skinny step card.

After I coloured these gorgeous poppies I realized I didn't have any appropriate patterned paper so I had to put my thinking cap on to decide what to use.....light bulb moment ..... Eyelet Outlet Washi tape!!! it worked perfect. I added my real red ribbon (su) by punching a double slot with a punch I haven't used in years but I really had to have it for ribbon, the way I did it was tie a knot in the ribbon, slide it down through the two slots then feed the left ribbon back through the right slot and visa versa and trim the ends. I also added the colouring book butterfly brads (they are on sale at the Eyelet Outlet)

Close up of the ribbon

Super cute butterfly.

Yes I did notice that I have used two different butterflies but it wasn't until I posted the picture and was typing my blog so you know (because I am a perfectionist) I will be deciding which one I'm using. Did you scroll back up and look?

Thanks for visiting today and get ready for an easy peasy challenge to use ribbon, twine, etc. on your project. Head over to the Shopping Our Stash blog and see what the rest of the team have done.
