It's Rudolph Days again.

As the challege is in it's last day I need to add this to Rudolph Days challenge, it is not unusual for me to be sneaking in on the last day but the weather has been so humid I haven't done much paper crafting. That being said here is my card.

I used an image from Bugaboo Stamps, they have the cutest penguin digis, love them and right now a 50% off sale too, and the current sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches. The pattened paper is from a 12 X 12 paper pad I picked up at Goodwill last year,, the lace is from dolleraama.

Close up of the super cute penguin and I thought the lace looked like snowflakes.
Inside is still to be stamped, I ran out of time but will be done asap or I will go to send it and it will be "surprise".

I'm entering this in

Thanks for stopping to see my offering for Rudolph Days July P.S. I have a headstart on August.

D is for Dog!!!

Hello friends another two weeks has flown by, last weekend I had two Sundays, I don't know about you but this quarentine is messing with my days along with the fact I never know what date it is.  I am my circle of 10 or however many we can have now.  I am glad I have the diversion of the cottage and my crafting or I would be in a sad state. To top it all off I finally have my design teams in the right order it has only taken since January to wrap my head around it and I'm now on track. (at least for a while)  The new challenge at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers is D is for Dog!! lots of really cute/snarky doggie projects on the Main Blog. Here is what I came up with.

I haven't used this card design in eons, when the die I had planned on using was just a tad too small for the image I went with a card design I saw on pinterest, and it left me just enough room for the snarky sentiment.(still a lot of white space) The dog is a Tim Holtz set of dogs and dies from sizzix I have had for a couple of years and never had them out of the packge, (have cats too) The bones are from the die I had planned on useing so just cut a few to add interest to the card.  It's a mailable card too.

I feel like I was celebrating the 4th of July using these colours, once I had coloured the ball and dish I had to use the red and blue and a few more bones. The sentiment is from Stampendous.

As I said earlier there are a lot more dog creations on the Main Blog. We are looking forward to seeing your creations for D is for Dog.
I am entering this in:

Our Little Blue Bug.......

Hello family, friends and followers I hope you are staying safe and distanced in these trying times, I get a lot of time to make cards while at the cottage, I have no problem there being "distanced" from people. My son's birthday is the end of July and this is the card I made for him.

When he was little we had a Cadet Blue VW beetle, he had a car seat that just went over the back seat and had a steering wheel one "gasp" even the car-bed wasn't strapped down, "wow", anyway I'm hoping he remembers our "bug". I die-cut three cars and layered them, added some acetate for the windows, the road is from a black & white 12 X 12 paper pad I found at Dollarama at least 3 years ago I have used a lot of it. Made the oxide sky and added a couple of clouds that were cut out of foam core.

You can see how it is slightly elevated which makes it a mailable card, when glueing the three layers of car together I realized I didn't put the gold headlight in the proper place so I am filling the "headlight" with crystal effects to make it a headlight. (the headlight die cut didn't work out)

Finished inside with a scrap of cardstock and a favourite sentiment.

Seize the Birthday ~~ #195 Non-neutral card base

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful week.

Black & White is the Challenge at Shopping Our Stash!!

Hello again friends it's time for a new challenge at Shopping Our Stash and Mimi chose the theme Black & White, what is more elegant than that?  As most of you know I'm crafting at the cottage and sometimes I have trouble remembering what is there and my B&W paper pad wasn't, fortunately I had a 12 X 4 1/4 scrap there just enough for my project as long as I didn't make a wrong cut. (I didn't) So without any more chit-chat here is my project.

I made a "screen" card, these are easy if you have a couple of discontinued punches.  I started with a 11 X 5 1/2 piece of black cardstock scored lightly at 2 3/4 5 1/2 and 8 1/4 then useing the Fleur dis Lis border punch I punched across the top, then scored heavier, Using the retired Decorative label punch  I punched the botton on the 4 panels.  Well there is 2 from my stash that hasn't been used in a long time. I layered the patterned paper on white cardstock. The mini doily dies I've not had too long but hadn't used them yet. I added black die cut flowers, a butterfly and a die cut message to each panel and I added some white pearls to the butterfly bodies.

Closer look at the first two panels

Closer look at the last two panels

This card folds in half for mailing in a square envelope.

Stash items are the two punches, the patterned paper 2 years old, butterflies ancient who knows when I bought the pearls and the flower dies are at least 3 years old. Of course the mini words are are well loved.

Adding this to:

A Place to Start ~~ July theme Flowers.
Thanks for stopping by today and don't forget to check the Main Blog there are many more B&W projects to inspire you to join us for the challenge.

More Stripes and Stars..............

Adding one last card to the Jingle Belles Rock challenge Stars &/or Stripes Forever. Last week's sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches was a great one for using scraps and I had a few scraps left from the other two cards I made, one using stars and one using stripes so today I'm posting  one that uses both. The sketch challenge is over but I needed to use it anyway.

I must admit my image was already coloured in the "parts box" must have been designated for a challenge that expired before I got it done, and it was perfect to use with the scraps leftover from the stripes and stars cards. I do love Fluffles and boy does she get into trouble. Fluffles was sold by Stampendous although retired some have been brought back in "mini" size in clear.

Finished the inside with a sentiment from Impression Obsessions and a scrap of patterned paper.

I'm entering this in:

Jingle Belles Rock ~~ Stars &/or Stripes Forever

12 Months of Chistmas Link-up ~~ ATG opt. flip a coin

Thanks for stopping by today, how is your Holiday stash coming?

Z is for Zebra

Designed by our very own Lindsey!!

A new challenge is up at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers and it's Z ia for Zebra (much easier that last year's Z).

Well I had no Zebra stamps and no zebra paper so the best I could come up with was me in a Zebra bathing suit and a splash of ribbon, I didn't even have snark for the front but wait till you "turn the page" I used an image from Art Impressions I used a cloud embossing folder on the blue layer. I love all my "Girlfriends", when I showed it to a friend of mine she said it looks like our group of ladies.

Stamped and coloured a second umbrella and popped it up.

My plan was to have a snarky saying on the inside but my set of snarky stamps seems to be in that safe spot where we all like to put things. I searched for somthing comparable in the "stash" I have brought to the lake but there was nothing here. Besides it's too flipping hot to be searching, I'll wait until mornng when it is cooler.

Thanks for visiting today and thee is plenty of snark on the Main Blog to go around, check it out.

Stars or Stripes or Both?

It's Stars and/or Stripes Forever at the Jingle Belles Rock Challenge, and no it's not the last day of the challenge I'm a whole week early!!! I'm sure Lauren and Stephanie are going to be "shocked" It is such a fun challenge.

The stamp set I used is a very long retired Stampin'up set called (I think) Snow Much Fun. It has a tall snowman and a short chubby one.One of my favourite sets too. I used one of my oxide backgrounds that I had made for another challenge but it was over before I got a chance to play along.  I believe the star paper is from a Bo Bunny pack but I could be mistaken since I'm home and the things I used for this card are at the cottage. (will correct if I need to) Let it Snow is from Tim Holtz die set.

One of my favourite "snow" sentiments and it's from an Ontario stamp store, High Hopes Stamps. and a scrap of patterned paper.

I am entering this in:

Jingle Belles Rock ~~ Stars and/or stripes forever

and

Christmas Kickstart Challenge ~~ #33 Hatty Christmas

Christmas in July?

It's time for a new challenge at Shopping Our Stash and it's Christmas in July!! Now that should make you feel cooler. We are in the midst of a heatwave in SWO, I'm spending time at the cottage with no AC,  I'm glad it's time to head home and into AC as this week is going to be a scorcher. Here os my project for the challenge.

Whenever I get the chance I like to use my house mouse designs stamps, I'm sure I've had this one for quite a while and it's never been inked until now. The sentiment is from High Hopes Stamps (an Ontario company) I have had this stamp for many years.

Close up, I fussy cut the santa hat and popped it up

Finished the inside with a couple of scraps of paper and a entiment from Impresssion Obsession.

Since I used stripes and a cat I'm entering this in:
