Hello Cupcake

Hello again, it's my day to post on the Eyelet Outlet Blog,  I love using as many items as I can on one card without cluttering it up.  When I saw the cupcake paper flowers I knew I had the perfect image to showcase them with.  It's an older Stamping Bella stamp and the image was coloured with prisma colour pencils and sitting in a box with other usable images and it was perfect for the paper flowers.

In my stash of EO product I saw those cute heart sticky back bumpy bling, I also used some of the enamel dots in white and pink on her dress and there was no sense in leaving three little dots so sprinkled them on one side.

These paper flowers are just adorable and come in many colours and many patterns.

Since I had pink dragonflies I just had to use a couple  on my card.

I love this sentiment and it's very true,

All these items are available at the Eyelet Outlet and Brads store.

Challenge #85 at The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers is ~ B is for Beach!!!

Almost the end of May where has this month gone? There is a new challenge at the Sisterhood  it's B is for Beach. We want to see sand and surf and anything you deem goes with the beach.  I have an older stamp set from Stampin'up and is called By the Sea and I love all the stamps and have used one of them for my card.

I had this stamp out to make a "request" card for an anniversary card for a hubby and I think this stamp really works for an anniversary card. I added two brads from the Eyelet Outlet Store I used a seagull and a seashell brad.  The sand and water were made using a new SU set and with love was cut with an unnamed die.

Close up of the seagull and sentiment.

Computer generated sentiment for the inside of the card.

Wild Horses..............

Hello again, another Tuesday has rolled around, Barbara here with a new card for the Eyelet Outlet Blog.  Here in Canada we just celebrated Victoria Day, it was a windy, cool and wet weekend but nice to get away to the cottage for the first time this year.  It is nice a quiet and I love to do my crafting there. Father's Day will be here soon and this card would be perfect for a father's day.  Here is what I made with some brads from the Eyelet Outlet store.

I tried a new technique on the background, I used a makeup brush from the local $$ store and some Kalidescope die ink in earth tones and swiped the brush across the cardstock, I do think I need to find a smoother cardstock for this technique. The stamp I used is from Local King Rubber and the first time it's seen ink. I planned this card around the super cute horse brads from the Eyelet Outlet Store.
I added the three enamel stars (also from the Eyelet Outlet) before I put the sentiment in place, once those stars were pressed in place there is no moving them.

Close up to show the detail on the horses which are in three colours and 12 in a package.

There is still time to get your order in to the Eyelet Outlet Store to pick up some great brads, eyelets and washi tape for your Father's Day or just for making masculine cards.

Thanks for stopping by today and have a look at my Tuesday partner's post, it's just below mine on the Eyelet Outlet blog.

Cardz 4 Guyz ~~ favourite colour combo (pumpkin pie, brown)

The Male Room ~~ Theme ~ Stars

Bye for now and I'll meet you here again next Tuesday at 3.01 p.m. EDT.

I got Rhythm, I got Music..........

Shopping Our Stash challenge #304 ~~ Music Notes!!! create a card/project using any musical themed items you have (paper, stamps, brads, washi tape, etc.)  Well there was a bit of excitement at the cottage today when I finished my project for the challenge and found out I had created next weeks card.  It was a real scramble to see what "extra" things I packed to bring to the cottage for the long weekend  and I had thrown in a few dies that I could work with.  I did  forget sentiments to put on the inside of my cards but that isn't a biggie.

Just us Girls has a colour challenge, Turquoise, Lime green and navy and I love those colours together. I die cut the Happy Birthday music in navy layered it on lime green faux smooshed background (Walmart) Added the flowers in turquoise with enamel dots from the Eyelet Outlet.

Close up of the sentiment and flower, I brushed the petals with wink of stella.

I got the Christmas Blues.......

The challenge at the Jingle Belles Rock is Blue Christmas and I managed to get this done before the challenge closes.  I have been really slow in getting my Christmas cards going this year but it will soon change as we have opened the cottage and it's so relaxing to create there, no distractions except if it rains then Hubby wants to go to town.  We are just finishing up the May 24 long weekend, it's been rainy, cool and very windy.  I couldn't even manage to take pictures of my cards outside today. Enough chit-chat and on with the card.

Another 5 1/4 inch square card, and another quilt card, I used patterned paper from Bo-Bunny cut with a square stitched die, after it was attached to the base I used an embossing folder and ran it through the cuttlebug. The sentiment is from Impression Obsession and the snowflake is one of my new unmarked dies which can be used for a poinsettia too. The center of the snowflake is a pearl and silver brad from the Eyelet Outlet.

Close up of the gorgeous sparkly snowflake and that awesome brad.

You know the routine when I craft at the cottage....something is always missing from my "stuff" and this time it is "inside sentiments" how could I forget those? So I'll be finishing up 4 cards at home with sentiments.

I am entering this in:

Thanks for visiting today and have a wonderful week.

Mom-to-be Card

Another week has flown by!! Barbara here on the Eyelet Outlet Blog with a new card for your viewing. Four weeks left to the appearance of baby boy Brydges our Great Grandson and I made a Mom-to-be card for Katie for Mother's day.

I really really wanted to play with the new Yoga cat brads from  Spring 2017 and this was an opportunity to put them on a card, they look so cute on each side of the Mom to be in a yoga pose. I chose the colour of this card to match the awesome gems from the Eyelet Outlet Store, they are just gorgeous and they also come in purple.

Close up of the Turquoise gems and that adorable yoga cat.

Shopping Our Stash #303 ~~Project Runway.

Hello there, it's Tuesday and time for a new Challenge at Shopping Our Stash and this week the challenge is brought to you from Mimi!!! and the challenge is to use fabric stash.  I dug deep for this challenge and btw it's a "two-fer" , I made TWO cards for your viewing pleasure. So without anymore delay here is the first one.

The background was made with fabric tape (must have been before washi tape) I have had it for over 5 years and I used most of the roll. The stamp I used is from House Mouse Designs called Inner Tube Nap, the Happy Birthday is cut with an Impression Obsession die.

Since there was a seashell theme happening I just had to use some Seashell brads from the

On to the second card

I kinda went freestyle with this card so I could feature the silk flower (there were two in the package) I received it from a Secret Sister swap and the date on the back of the package was 2005, so I'm shopping my stash big time. I made a Birthday card with the patterned paper so had some leftovers so using a one inch punch I made 8 patterned and 8 plain, did double sided tape on a piece of cardstock and very carefully lined them up and attached them, I then ran the finished piece through the cuttlebug with an embossing folder. Then layered it on green and a blue postage stamp die (unmarked) The Happy Birthday is also an unmarked die.

Close up of the silk flower, finally I had a reason to spring it out of it's 2005 package.

The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Challenge #84 ..................

Hello friends, followers and family another two weeks has flown by and it's time for a new challenge at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers ~~ H is for Hatching, Matching and Dispatching.  Have a look at the awesome picture Lee has made for it and you will get a clue what we are talking about.

So in reality we want to see projects pertaining to Birth, Wedding or Sympathy.  I have made a wedding card, anniversary card, two baby cards in the last few weeks and I had  a friend lose their fluffy doggie friend and I decided to make a Sympathy card.

It's never an easy task of making a pet sympathy card, or any sympathy card and I just can't make them ahead for me they really need to be personal. I was very happy when the front of the card came together so easy, that is where the fun ended.

As you see I wanted the pawprint on the inside with the heart opening on the front, it all worked well until I printed the sentiment I found on the computer, It took 3 tries to get the sentiment positioned in the right place, I now have two extra sentiments in my "box" for use later.

I used a lot of stash from my scrap box along with the stampset that has been neglected, the border punch and the spellbinders hearts that haven't been used in a couple of years.

Thanks for stopping by today and remember to check out the rules at the Main Blog while there see what events the rest of the design team have highlighted.

Go Graduate!!!

Hello there, it's Tuesday and my day to post on the Eyelet Outlet blog. Along with Weddings in June there are also graduations so since I had some graduation caps from Eyelet Outlet Store in my stash and I designed  a card around them. My inspiration for the card was a sketch at Mojo Monday.

I used a couple designs of washi tape, the black with gold stars and the narrow arrow along the bottom, Of course I used the graduation hats and black bead strips, they come in all colours and there are 500 in a package.

Close up of the beads and hats.

Here is the finished inside of the cards with a sentiment from Stampenous.

Shopping Our Stash has an Easy Challenge this Week!!!

Such an Easy Peasy challenge at Shopping Our Stash this week ~~ challenge 302 is to use buttons!!!

As you see Fussy cutting last week was not enough for me I had to fussy cut the cardinal from Stampendous, although there is a die set for it all the birds and the holly are very easy to trim. I have had this since last year and it's never seen ink and along with the three bird stamps, a holly and berries stamps there is a Tree Stencil, sad though I never even noticed it until I was typing this post  and I looked at the package without the set of stamps in it. "duh"

I made this for a friend's Birthday, she loves Cardinals

Close up of the flowers and the super sparkly buttons that I have had for eons the Happy Birthday is from Impression Obsession

Finished the inside with a sentiment from the Impression Obsession and it doesn't see ink often enough, I seem to go with the ones that are on my desk at the time I'm making a birthday card.

Wedding Time......

Can you believe it's the second of May?  Looking ahead to June and Weddings this is the time to shop for all the awesome paper flowers, swirly bling and so much more at the Eyelet Outlet store.

Tuesday afternoon is my time to post on the Eyelet Outlet Blog and since I had beautiful white paper flowers and swirly rhinestone bling I knew I wanted to make a Wedding card.

The image is from Inkadinkadoo and I die cut with spellbinder's ovals, I really wanted the flowers to be the star of the card. I used very simple gold mini brads to put the layers together. I had spritzed all the petals with simmer mist. Picked two swirl pieces from the rhinestone blingy swirls.

Ahhhh the stars of the card the gorgeous paper flowers there are 40 in each package and come in a variety of colours and patterns. I tucked a pair of gold rings in between the petals.

The swirly bling also comes in a variety of colours as well as pearls in many colours too.

I share Tuesdays with Stephanie check out what awesomeness she made for you today just scroll down and check her post out.

Enjoy today and keep on crafting.

Shopping Our Stash #301 ~~ Back to Basics ~~ NO DIES (gasp)

Back to Basics is what Alica has picked for our challenge at Shopping Our Stash!!! Basically (pun intended) you need to fussy cut something on your project. I took the challenge literally, I used no dies at all.

The stamp I used is over a year old, I bought it at Scrapfest Kitchener in 2016 and it's never seen ink, it's so pretty and it's from a designer from Ontario, Kraftin' Kimmie!! Her dress and wings were coloured with spica glitter pens and I fussy cut the whole image and popped her up.

Closer look at "Rose Fairy", the background is a butterfly embossing folder marked the Paper Studio          and I added some Eyelet Outlet rhinestones from some swirly bling I've been piecing out bit by bit.

Talk about fussy cutting well I fussy cut a jewelry tag for the sentiment and attached it to daffodil delight ribbon (SU)

Finished the inside to mirror the layers on the front with a sentiment stamp from Printworks Collection.
