Look at Edna all dressed up for the prom and all that YELLOW.
When thinking of snark my go to stamps are Art Impressions and Bugaboo so for this challenge I decided to go with "girlfriends" As you see she has a glass of wine and of course my favourite is Pino Gregio as it went better with yellow. The die cut is an ancient one from Stampin'up and I rarely use it but it went well with the Elizabeth craft designs stitched circle die I quite often paper piece the couch on this image but decided to just do grey stripes (just like the packaging) much easier than paper piecing. The patterned paper and the crushed curry cardstock are also years old so I'm digging to the bottom of the pile.
The sentiment is from a Creative Impressions Wine Not 20 piece set of clear stamps and was die cut with a EC designs stitched circle, a wink of stella on the wineand paper glaze on her glasses.
Finished the inside with the off cut from the front die and a few scraps of patterned paper and a Studio G sentment. and looking at this I realized I forgot to stamp Happy Birthday.
I would like to add this to:
Happy Little Stampers ~~ Anything goes with Dies May Challenge.
Seize the Birthday ~~ #190
Monochromatic

Oh my gosh Barb .. she is priceless! LOVE that sentiment as well!!! You rocked the yellow challenge for someone who says yellow isn't their favourite colour!!! ((HUGS)) Helen
ReplyDeleteLOVE her!!! Art Impressions is a favorite of mine as well and your chosen sentiment is hilarious.
ReplyDeleteAnother fav stamp of mine! The colour combo works perfectly and I love the shape of the central panel. Love the sentiment - so tragic, Jo x
ReplyDeleteOhhhhhhh crushed curry was one of my fave SU colours!
ReplyDeleteFab job with the yellows, love the image and the sad sad raisin tale :)
Yes, for some reason, yellow is not a colour I gravitate towards either. However, whenever I do use yellow on a card, I am always pleased with the result, as I am sure you are with this card - it's so adorable and fu! I like the cool die-cut, the funny lady, and the fun sentiment!
ReplyDeleteI think you may be onto something making the couch striped - looks great and it does beat fussy cutting! ;) Love this card - that sentiment is fabulous.
ReplyDeleteYellow isn't really my favourite colour either! - Love that relaxed lady and the fun sentiment!
