Hello fellow crafters, it's time for a new challenge at Shopping Our Stash and the theme is Full Metal Jacket.....use something metal on your project, metallic cardstock, a charm, wet embossing with one of the metal embossing powders. I went with the easy one, making a metal car.
I haven't used this die set in a long time and I quite often check to see when I used it last by going through my blog and I have never blogged a card made with this set, but I'm sure I have made one or perhaps I've only cut the images. The patterned paper is from Dollarama bought probably 5 years ago, the 12 X 12 pad was all B&W. The car and sentiment were cut twice from black heavy cardstock and once in gold posterboard and glued together for dimension. The card is a 5 1/2 inch square card. I thought it looked a little blah so I added as thin gold frame.
Close up angled picture to show how the image is elevated.
Finally I finished the inside with a "old" sentiment and a few scraps of the paper.
I am entering this in:
AAA Birthday ~~ Game #34 Pattern.
Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to check out the MAIN BLOG to see what the rest of the team have done with the theme.
Glad you finally got to blog about this die...perfect for a masculine card as well as our new challenge!! Great inspiration for those who decide to play along with our "full metal jacket" challenge over at Shopping Our Stash.
ReplyDeletePerfect for this challenge, the car really shows up against the black. Great Idea to frame it too. Perhaps now you've found it you'll use it again. x
ReplyDeleteThe polka dot patterned paper makes a very eye pleasing contrast to the metallic. Thanks for playing at AAA Birthday, hope to see you join in with future challenges too. Stay safe and keep crafting.
ReplyDeleteLove the contrast metallic and black. Very masculine :) I always struggle with my masculine cards... Good idea :) Thank you for sharing your beautiful creation at AAA Birthday! Stay safe and keep crafting!
