When I saw the challenge at Color Hues I immediately thought St. Patrick's Day and Fluffles. The two colours to use are Green and Gold. I have worked on my card off and on for almost a week, life really gets in the way of crafting sometimes. Enough said, so here is my finished card.
I made an alcohol ink background by scribbling greens on a huge ziplock bag, spritzed it with alcohol then took a 4 X 6 photo sheet (bought a couple of packs at a yardsale) put it shiny side down wiggled it a bit then lifted it up. Drying time is minimal. Stamped and coloured Fluffles, layered him/her on green and then gold. Added a couple of banners and a Hero Art's "one liner" cut with a banner die. Then because I really wanted to have another bit of gold on the front I added Stampendous stickers I've had for at least 20 years.
Close up of Fluffles (sorry it's a tad out of focus) The image was elevated with three rectangles of heavy cardstock .
Finished with a Stampablilities stamp (have no idea where I bought it) added a scrap of patterned paper with a sticker.
I'm adding this to:
Color Hues ~~ #36 Green & Gold
Show us Your Pussycats ~~ #76 Furrything goes.
Thanks for stopping by today and have a lovely weekend
Fluffles is definitely perfect for these colours! Your alcohol ink background is gorgeous. And I do believe I still have some of those stickers, too... Thanks for joining us at Color Hues!
ReplyDeleteFab image, Fluffles certainly made me smile. St Patrick's day is just the right theme for the green and gold combo at Color Hues, TFS. :)
ReplyDeleteFluffles is an all-time favourite of mine! There is a Fluffles stamp for every occasion! This card is adorable, inside and out! Gorgeous alcohol ink background! Haven't tried that technique but it sounds like fun! Heavy rain and high winds last night - what a loud night, didn't sleep much and then lost an hour with the time change, yikes!
ReplyDeleteFlufflies is so cute, and his cute hat and shamrock have him already for the St. Patty's Day celebration! Thanks for joining us at Color Hues!
ReplyDeleteA great card. I really like your layout and who can resist a Fluffles :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you for purring along to play at SUYP Cats Challenges.
