Hello friends, family and followers, it's time for a new challenge at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers.
Thanks Lee for the great graphic.
My crafting for this challenge was a major challenge, I could just write up a post on everything that went wrong and how ugly it was and how ugly I got about it, but putting that aside here is my card.
Most everyone knows my least favourite colours are the ones in the paper of the background/wallpaper, I know I used them on my Fall/Autumn ATCs but there was lots of red. So for my "ugly" card I used what I thought was the ugliest paper I could find in my stash. Of course I had to use my wine drinking Art Impressions girlfriend, all my AI stamps get lots of mileage on the SoSS blog. I stamped a scrap of kraft cardstock with a woodgrain stamp and added a white baseboard. The sentiment is computer generated. I fussy cut (don't look close) the image and popped it up on the background.
Close up of the sentiment, I must have really been in a hurry to get these pictures over, couldn't even get it centered LOL.
Well there you are my project for the U is for Ugly challenge at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers and don't forget to head over to the Main Blog and check out the rest of the ugly cards.
Ha ha ha, sad but true! Great card, Barb, I nearly went with this image myself, Jo x
ReplyDeleteLOVE it Bard! The background is perfect for this lady and her snark! Fantastic!
ReplyDeleteSentiment is so true. Love your coloring. I need layering stencils for people so I don't have to color. LOL
ReplyDeleteYour AI gal looks divine, no wine needed to make her look good! That wallpaper, though... :D
ReplyDeleteYeah, that is some butt ugly wallpaper but it makes for a really fun card!
ReplyDeleteSooooooooooooooooooooooo true!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the "ugly" wallpaper...reminds me of my house in the 70's - when every room was wallpapered, in very very different colours and if you were lucky like me, had shag carpet to match!!
Nicely done sistah - for all the ugliness leading up to your card, it's awesome :)
What a super card Barbara! And, a very clever idea you left in my comments about 'Frosty melted'. xx
