Back to the Books!!

Challenge #454 at Shopping our Stash is Back to the  Books (books/reading themed or use a page from a book or text designed paper) easy peasy right? I hope you will play along.

The image is Betsy Booklover from Kraftin'Kimmie stamps not sure how long I have had it in my stash but I'm guessing well over a year, I guess I was saving it for a special occasion.  After I coloured her I fussy cut so I could make a summer scene, The clouds are from a Christmas die. I used Elisabeth Craft Designs stitche rectangles and scalloped rectangles.

Finished the inside with a Printworks sentiment stamp. Two scraps of off cuts from the blended background to add some interest.

I would like to add this to:

Use Your Stuff ~~ #431 Back to School (primary colours)

Thanks for stopping by today and head over to the MAIN BLOG and check out what the rest of the bookworms have made.

  1. What a great image this is Barbara - really captures the joy of reading and the whole 'my arms ache but I just have to see what happens next' element of being a book lover! I love the wonderful bright colours you've used too. Vicky x

  2. Oh Barbara, what a fabulous Kraftin' Kimmie stamp, I have a bunch of their stamps but they are all Halloween-related, I don't know why I never looked at other themes, this one depicts the love of reading PERFECTLY.
Love the little scene where this sweetie is lost in her book.
    Beautiful card, teammate.
    Stay healthy and safe.

  3. Oh, I forgot to tell you that, the "DSP" I used on my card was stamped by me using one of the stamps from he set I mention on my post, I've stamped more with different colors and they all look amazing.

  8. Happy sigh, Barbara. This brings back such great memories of being a girl, without a care in the world, mind-deep in my library books. Nancy Drew, anyone? You have really brought her to life with your coloring and fussy-cutting and plopping her down in the backyard on a brilliant summer day! (Of course, when her arms get tired, she puts the book down and plays a game of what animals the clouds look like!) Thank you so much for sharing with everyone at NBUS! Hugs, Darnell
