You know you see the prompt and you get an idea and want to "run" with it and it takes over a week to get 'er done well that's what happened to me. Finally I made time on Saturday to make it happen. I used an old technique that a friend Donna taught us at one of our Ontario Meet-ups. So here is what I made with my "inchies".
I used a page from a 6 X 6 paper pad from Carta Bella, it co-ordinates as it was double sided and I didn't have to decide which to use soI used both. I used double sided tape on a piece of cardstock to line up (sort of) the inchies, then I ran it though the big shot in an embossing folder. I didn't want to cover the quilt up so just used a die cut sentiment
Close up to see the embossing folder and the sentiment was cut 3 times and glued together so it is slightly elevated.
Finished the inside, I didn't have a scrap of patterned paper large enough to put on the inside. Of course I used a favourite sentiment, it works for Winter as well as Holiday cards.
I'm enter this in:
The Jingle Belles Rock ~~ Think Big go Little
And
Let's Squash it!! ~~ embossing folder with an animal (reindeer) Not sure who made the EF it doesn't have a logo on it but it was a package deal quite a few folders. Might have bought them at Winners.

I love your patchwork effect card, Barb! Just looks like a beautiful, cosy, flannel quilt to me. Thanks for playing at Let's Squash It! This would also fit in a Christmas Kickstart too, Jo x
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea for double-sided paper when you like both sides! And then adding the texture gives it that extra bit of cohesiveness. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteoh my gosh! what a brilliant format for inchies! and i love the way the e/f unites them all so instead of merely squares you really do have a festive quilt!!! thanks for celebrating a merry LITTLE xmas with us at JINGLE BELLES! ♥
