The image was coloured with alcohol markers and die cut with stitched square, I fussy cut around the leaves to have them hanging off the square. Layered on purple lacy square then on a white lacy square. Everything on this card (with the exception of the white) is many years old.
A different angle to show how the image layer is elevated.
The inside doesn't have a sentiment as I will put this in the "generic" stash as it can be used for many occasions.
I would like to enter this in:

Thanks for stopping by today and check out what the rest of the design team have made for Fabulous February.
Very pretty card, Barbara! I love your layers.
ReplyDeleteHugz!
Wow, I am inspecting to see how you die-cut the stitched square with the flowers fussy-cut and hanging off-- are they separate? Looks so cool, and that was a neat technique to make 2D look so 3D! Damn, girl... way to go!
ReplyDeleteI always loved Flourishes flowers and this one was one of my favorites! I love what you did with the layering of the leaves. It's such a beautiful card! Thanks for playing with Just Us Girls!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and ooohhhhh soooooo PURPLE!!!
ReplyDeleteI love how you added dimension to the leaves and how they hang over the square! Gorgeous card, Barb!
ReplyDeleteI've never been able to figure out how to do partial die cuts like you've done with the leaves. So cool! What a perfect image, and I love how you've colored it! Such a beautiful card!
ReplyDeleteOh WOW!! Barbara, I'm so happy you used this lovely Flourishes set, I have it too and I almost used it but you beat me to it, LOL!!
ReplyDeleteI love the partial die cut and the lovely coloring of these pretty flowers, they are the first sign I see popping off the ground on the flower beds, they are my favorite Spring flowers, along with Pansies and Violas.
Love, LOVE the die cut frames, can you tell me where go got them, pleeeeease😊
Great idea to leave the card without a sentiment, it's easier to just stamp one than to try to cover it.
Beautiful card.
