As per instructions both cards side by side, I made a Birthday card and a Christmas card.
Up first is the birthday card, Stitched squares in shades of purple, popped up with fun foam on some $$ store paper. I love the pansies and they make it feel like spring.
Inside finished with one of my oldest Hero Arts sentiment stamps Special Birthday from 2002, I also carried the purple/floral theme to the inside.
I'm using up scraps, just in case you remember the plaid paper for some other cards, With this card I used Elizabeth Craft Designs scalloped rectangles and gold frame was cut from a scrap of gold as was the Merry Christmas, The hook for the ornament was an off cut from another die cut.
Finished the inside with an Impression Obsession sentiment.
I'm entering this in these challenges.

Nicely done! And once again I let a Twofer challenge slide by...
ReplyDeleteI can't tell if that sweet kitty is super helpful or super mischievous? I'm going to say he is super helpful on the birthday card by bringing all the gifts to the table for the honoree to open...and a little thief on the Christmas card, stealing all the gifts, lol! He really made me chuckle and I just love the way you have let him be the star on both your designs, Barb! I love, both your plaid and the pansy pp and great job using all your schtuffs so effectively! Thank you so much for playing in Twofer Card Challenge #4! So glad you could make it this month and hope to see you again!! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteYour Penny Black cat is adorable with both birthday presents and Christmas ones! I love your papers, and thanks for showing the way you finished the insides of your cards, I always neglect that part. So glad you joined in the fun with us at the Twofer Card Challenge!
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet kitty, Barbara ... so fun with that stack of gifts! Lovely layering and framing on your birthday card ... and what a great idea to have kitty in an ornament on your second! Fabulous detailing inside both! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Twofer! Anita :)
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable little kittie! Two very cute cards using him. Love the way you angled the image and sentiment on your purple card. Thanks for playing along with us at JUGS!
ReplyDeleteOMGoodness, your kitty cards are so cute! That's so cool that you can use the stamp for both occasions! Love your colour combo on the bday card!
