I used watercolour paper and framed the image with a scrap of plaid paper that was in the pile on the table, leftover from one of the last Christmas cards
I used distress markers for the flower and the blue wash background.
It was fun to dig out the 14 year old stamps and play with a technique I haven't done in eons, I might just pick one of the other stamps and try another project.
Thanks for visiting today and I'm sure you have a much more interesting watercolour technique than I came up with, so head over to the Main Blog and check out the rest of the design team inspiration pieces.
ohhh noooooooooooooooo there's nothing worse than back spasms!!! i hope you are feeling better but still taking it easy so the muscles relax for good!!! meanwhile, this is a GORGEOUS card and yet another technique i need to learn for sure! ♥♥♥♥♥
ReplyDeleteUGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
ReplyDeleteHere's hoping your back spasms are getting better....those are just THE worst!!!
Your card is awesome, I love that you coloured the stamp with markers and then spritzed it...the effect is awesome!
Yay, you played! See, Barb, I knew you could do it! You never back down from a challenge, and you never disappoint! This is beautiful. It looks like one of my favorite wildflowers out west: Indian paintbrush. Hope that back started behaving!
ReplyDeleteOh Barbara, so sorry to hear your back is hurting, hope you feel better real soon.
ReplyDeleteAnd your tag is beautiful, love the image spritzed with water and then stamped, that always looks amazing.
Rest and recover.
Hugs,
Maria.
