Napping in a Tulip

We have had some fabulous "spring' weather for February, it's been so warm the tulips, daffodils and crocus are confused and starting to grow.  It was wonderful but back to reality this weekend with a dusting of snow. I was in a spring mood and when I saw Sketch Saturday's sketch I thought wow I want to try it and my house mouse designs stamp was perfect. I decided to go out of my comfort zone and use "YELLOW" and here it is.


I used the last bits of some Stampin'up papers and daffodil delight base and ribbon, it needed something to tone down the yellow so I used a layer of black. The flower was from a prize bag I got several years ago and the brown center is a home made candy dot.

Thanks for joining me here today and I hope you get the Spring feeling I was going for with this card. It already has a new home at our neighbour's inTurkey Point, we stopped by to check the cottage and deliver the card.

    Such a cute card, Barb! I like the adorable image and awesome sentiment on the inside! We've had some mild weather and a lot of snow has melted - Yay! It's still not gone though so I'm hoping for more mild weather!

    Sometimes you need to use a little yellow when thinking spring. :D And lucky you, only getting a dusting of snow on the weekend. The warm yellows and oranges really are perfect on your adorable card!

    Such a pretty card, I love that House Mouse stamp, so sweet.
    I was getting used to that nice weather, but I knew it was to good to last , lol.

    Gorgeous card Barbara, the little mouse sleeping in the tulip is super cute and I love the sunshiny colours, very pretty and cheerful :-)
    I used the same fab sketch for my card too, it really is a lovely layout isn't it! :-)
