Since I don't have a lot of Tim Holtz equipment or embellishments I went rogue, I sure used a lot of scraps on this tag. I just did plain gold embossing for the sentiment but followed the design.
The evergreen pieces are from a Tim Holtz die, the oak leaves from an ancient cuttlebug die. I wet the oak leaves and scrunched them, Then when they were dry and assembled I spritzed them with Pewter glitter mist.
Everything is from my stash, the gingerbread man was sitting on my table. The brads are from the Eyelet Outlet.
The dots were made with red memento ink on a Hero Arts background stamp and LOOK I stitched around the tag.
I will be entering this at:
Tag you're it Challenge #62
This is my first time making a Tim Holtz Tag and it was really fun, maybe 2017 I can do a few more.
Thanks for stopping by today and head over to the Main Blog check out what the rest of the design team have made. They are all gorgeous.
Great Tag, Barbara! I love how you added the gift boxes and other holiday elements to your tag (guess we were thinking alike!) Using the burlap paper was a nice touch!
ReplyDeleteHugz,
Chana
sooooooooooooooo much texture and interest and tiny perfect detail!!! <3
ReplyDeleteBARBARA!!! You have outdone yourself (which is saying a lot!!!) Tell me: was it so fun? Cuz it looks like it was! The cool thing I've noticed about Tim's challenges is that he is so into people's OWN interpretation and OWN supplies. You have succeeded! This is a fabulous tag... now... who to give it to? 🤔
ReplyDeleteJust looked at it again... love...
ReplyDeleteThis is stunning!! I love all the detail that you put into this!!
ReplyDeleteWhoa, Barb, I am SO impressed!!! This is an awesome Tim-type tag! No need to add a gift... just give someone the tag! ;)
ReplyDeleteWOW, Barb! This is impressive! I have never tried to make a Tim's tag! You did an awesome job and I love how this turned out! There's just so much to look at and admire! So glad you kept going after you got discouraged because it was well worth it! LOVE this!!!
