Looking for my Clear it Out Tuesday post, just scroll down or click HERE.
Last minute I decided to make a card for the second half of the challenge #179 at Shopping Our Stash, so you still have another week to get your project in for the challenge. We want you to use something you got free and there are so many free digital images out there you just cannot let this one go by. Well when I got the free marshmallow snowman from Meljen’s Designs Facebook page I knew I just had to enter. In my bloglovin feed this morning I saw a wonderful sketch from Cheerful Sketches and I just had to try it. I used three different scraps of patterned paper that were left overs from a couple of different projects. So here is what I did for the challenge.
I have to save this sketch I just love it and it wasn’t too hard to do. I used my spellbinders circles small and large and had the hat over the circles. The holly leaves are punched with a mini punch I bought 5 years ago in a U.S. Wal-Mart. (I also managed to pinch my baby finger in the punch too, Ouch) Black rhinestones are on his tummy for buttons and the sentiment is a mini self inking set of stamps.

Finished inside of the card with a couple more holly leaves. One more Christmas card for my stash.Challenges I will enter this in are:

Wow, beautiful inside and out, and I love the buttons & holly! Thanks for joining us at Catch The Bug!
ReplyDeleteThis is not only adorable, but it is so clever, too! I love the details you added like the dimensional holly leaves. I also liked how you gave the snowman some 3D buttons-- it reminded me of the snowmen I made growing up (though mine didn't turn out as cute as yours)! The color palette is traditional and evokes those happy holiday feelings, but you did such a modern combination of shapes and patterns. I also liked how you made the inside look fantastic, too! This card is both elegant and whimsical and I thoroughly enjoyed reading about it. Thank you so much for sharing your talents with us for this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!
