I have been crafting for a while so I went back to the Coluzzle boy it makes me appreciate my die cutting machine.in case you don’t know what I am talking about here is a picture.

I did take my eyelet setter with me but only had tiny eyelets to use and they just didn’t work with my flowers.

I stamped the flowers and leaves, coloured with my watercolour pencils and a blender pen. now before  glimmer mists I use to use and still do Opal liquid pearls mixed with water to make a glaze it gives a nice sheen. Again before die cutting machines there were only scissors so I fussy cut them all out then popped the flowers up.

The finished inside of the card ready for the next birthday.
Thanks for looking today and you know you want to go back to  basics and join us at SOSS for the challenge.

  1. Wow, Coluzzle and all that fussy-cutting. That REALLY makes you appreciate the die-cutting tools we have now, huh? And making your own glimmer mist - I still do that with Perfect Pearls. So easy to do, and less expensive since you already have all the stuff. :D

Your flowers look shiny, is it the paper or did you do something to them?

  8. Beautiful card, Barb, the flowers look amazing with the liquid pearls/water mix! I don't have a coluzzle but I used my Fiskars shape cutter a lot before my Cuttlebug arrived. :)

  10. I had the Fiskars shape cutter too - and mucked up at least half of what I tried to cut out with it. UGH! This turned out BEAUTIFULLY - love that sheen! I'll have to try that painting technique :)
