S is for Steampunk at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers

Steampunk is not one of my stronger venues, but you have to step up to the plate and stare that  ball down. I gathered stock from my stash, A Tim Holtz clear set Virtual; artistry, Paper Journey by Plaid ($1.97 in a clearance store) , a gears embossing folder, a punch (found out you have to step on it to make it work)  the key is a  Marianne die/

The Car and Watch are embossed with copper, fussy cut and then popped up.

Even in the close-up you can’t see the copper, or maybe it’s my eyes, things are certainly very blurry but so far I’m managing.

The stamp I wanted to use for the inside was at home, brought it with me and now can finish the  inside. It reads…. Another 365 day trip around the sun.
Thanks for stopping by today head over to The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers and check out the rules and the awesome cards the rest of the team have done.

  6. I second Jessi with the step-punch. It sounds suspiciously like exercise and step aerobics. I love the stamped and embossed paper

  7. such a great card, I like vintage/steampunk elements.
Some of those punches are hard on the hands.
I dropped one of my Martha Stewart punches and it broke..but I McGiver'd it and I can still use it ;)
