Pink Christmas for the Cure

This is my favourite prompt of all the Jingle Belles Challenge Blog, Pink Christmas for the cure. Every pink Christmas creation earns a $2 donation to breast cancer research from each of the blog creators, yep both Lauren and Stephanie donate $2 each for every card. On a good year I have been known to make 5 cards but this year I only got one completed. In the transition from cottage to home my second coloured image went MIA in the hoard of crafting supplies I had to bring home.

Digging through some already stamped images i came across this adorable lady penguin and knew it was destined to be a pink Christmas card, I just noticed I forgot a sentiment on the front guess it was the stress of cutting the polka dot panels I will figure out a better way as I really like this Slatted Z fold.

Side view shows how it is a Z fold.

The verse goes on the back of the card

If the Shoe Fits.......

Hello, welcome back to a new challenge at Shopping Our Stash and wow so many ways to go with the prompt, witches shoes, clown shoes, ballet shoes, how many different shoes can you think of? Get your thinking cap on and make a project featuring shoes.

I haven't completely closed up the cottage but I have brought home all the crafty things but have not had time to locate their original homes which has made it a tad difficult to catch up my cards, I am 2 birthday, 1 sympathy and 2 challenge cards behind. Yesterday I had my rubber embossing mat in my hand later same day I can't find where I put it down, that being said I did get my "shoe"card made.

I rarely make fall cards and even less rare make a thank you card but I couldn't resist using this cute Stampendous mini clear stamp that "gasp" had never been used and is well past 7 years old. It is perfect for my neighbour at the cottage that checks if I need help with anything and invited me for a turkey dinner on Thanksgiving.  I decided to try a new fun fold I found on Stamp with Delight you tube channel, it is a mystery stamping, cutting instructions are sent on Monday and the you tube video is Wednesday at 2 EDT/EST. The name of the fold is Slatted Z fold.

Side view of the fold showing the the Z fold feature.

Finished the inside with a scrap of one of the 3 patterned papers (look for a scraps card soon). and the sentiment that came with the stamp.

Just in case you are wondering it is an A2 card that folds flat for mailing.

Black Cats

When Witches go riding you know it's near Halloween and the crew at Shopping Our Stash is inviting you to join in the Hslloween fun for challenge #584  Black Cats so include a black car or any other black Halloween icon ie Spiders, Bats or a Witch. I have lots of cat stamps and dies but I wanted to make a spider web/spider card for my great grandson who is very fond of all that creepy stuff.

I made the background with 3 shades of distress oxide inks the spider web is a cover plate die it comes with the spider as well and I have had it for many years, I added some glitter to the spider's body an he is on a spinner, I have a video but have no clue how to attach it even if I knew where to find it on my very antient computer.

.

The inside is finished with a scrap of inked cardstock one of my newer (still over 3 years) die cut sentiments. I added spider as well.

W is for WITCH

Hello again friends it's a new month and a new challenge at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stamper and since it is October the theme is W is for Witch. Since I was at the cottage last week when I realized the challenge was coming up quickly it's a good job I had tucked my sleeve of Halloween dies, no stamps though but here is what I found in that hoard of dies. Sorry Edna didn't make it to the dinosaur of a desk computer that I'm using (left the laptop at the lake) I hope I can locate where the photos ended up.

Yay I found them.

I had one of the Halloween patterned paper pads with me so the background is a page from a DCWV  pad, The legs were cut from a strip of patterned paper the shoes out of black cardstock and attached over the stocking shoes, the skirt cut from patterned paper. Once the pieces were assembled my choice for the skirt was perfect.,

The sentiment is from a Halloween  snarky cats set, just a little snark today one we used to chant at Halloween when we were little kids.

Thanks for stopping by and stop over at the SoSS blog and check out what the rest of the team have made. then get your pointy hats on make your witchy card and add it to our gallery.
