You're So Sweet

Welcome to my blog and a new challenge at Shopping Our Stash the prompt is You're So Sweet so create something sweet on your project, it can be a sweet treat, a baby card, an adorable puppy or kitty, how ever you interpret it. I decided  on one of my favourite treats......Ice cream, my favourite is rocky road, what is yours.

My plans for this card went several different ways before it became a triangle easel, I was deciding between two fun folds and when I picked the patterned paper I knew I needed to showcase it with an easel card. I think fun folds are easier to make than a regular card. Of course I used my favourite critters from House Mouse Designs, patterned paper is Faded Flowers from Mintay papers. I added the sentiment on pop dots to hold the card open and placed it so it still shows that beautiful flower.

This is a 5 1/2 inch square card, what is nice it folds flat for mailing.

Summertime......

Welcome to a new challenge at Shopping Our Stash and the theme is Summertime, create a card featuring something you would see or experience in the summer. So many options and I had so many ideas and that is where I usually get behind as I can't make up my mind which I want to make. Here is what I decided to make.

I had 2 Happy Hopper stamps picked and this is the one I chose to use for my card. The patterned paper is called Sea Sparkle from Marianne designs and perfect for  a beach scene.  The sketch I used is a Sheetload from November 2024, it's one of my favourites, I added a few sparkly mini sequins because everything is better with bling, and a "fun" diecut.

Finished the inside with a Printworks wood block sentiment and a scrap of patterned paper.

I am entering this in:

AAA Colorful ~~ Colorboard #29

I hope you can find time to create a "Summertime" project and add it to our gallery you have until June 29 at 11.59 to enter,
Thanks for stopping by today and have a great week.

Not my Favourite Type of Card

The Jingle Belles Challenge prompt is Flat Feliz Navidad, a ONE layer card I am not a fan, I love layers and spinners, and wobbles none of which lie flat, so I have attempted the one and only one layer card for 2026, probably wasn't a good thing to try something new but it was all I could come up with.

A couple of years ago on clearance at Michaels I bought 3 sets of stencils, snowflake, wreath and a tree I thought it would be good to practice with, I did find it was very hard to get the stencils to line up properly, I did mark the corners and attempted to get the spots to line up but parts lined up great some didn't but it was fun to test myself and I'm happy with it. Using the score pal I put a 1/4 inch border around the edge and added some inking around the edges too.

Due to being the first trip to the cottage I'm lacking some equipment (hope I don't need tape) and I'm still looking for the stamped image I thought I had brought.

I am adding this to:

Jingle Belles Christmas Challenge ~~ Flat Feliz Navidad

This was certainly a short post today, a one layer card doesn't take a lot of explaining.
Thanks for joining me here and have a great week.

It's Your Day!!

Hello and welcome to my blog, it's a new month and a new challenge at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers. June is the month of yummy farm fresh produce here in SWO, Asparagus is in full swing and the strawberries look and taste so good. Finally our weather has settled into more warm than cold and I'm finally getting to the cottage. Enough of my chit chat I'm handing the prompt announcement to Edna.

Edna and the team are waiting to see the fabulous rainbows from you.
Although I had lots of time to make a project I seem to like working under pressure and it seemed to take me forever to come up with a plan and executed it!!

I am very pleased with my decision to blend 7 distress oxide inks into a rainbow I think it turned out great, I used one of my large dies with the shadow which I cut out of the blended panel and added the black shadow behind it, I added the sentiment with the usual tilt. I framed the panel with black and added it to a yellow top fold base.

Finished the inside with a simple Happy Birthday stamp and a off cut from the front panel.

Thanks for stopping by and check out the SoSS blog to see what the rest of the design team have made.
