Rudolph Days ~~~ July

Hello my crafty friends it's time for the July edition of Rudolph Days. I haven't been crafting in over two weeks and it will be a bit longer. I had my knee fail me and I collapsed on the floor and broke my ankle it has been a bit of a trial as I did not want to stay so in order to come home I was fitted for an air boot and crutches and of course not to put a lot of weight on the broken ankle until the Dr. calls. I immediately knew I would not be able to take care of my Design Team duties, so they are shelved until I can put weight on my leg but on July 25th I realized I can't miss Rudolph days so knowing I had lots of off cuts, some coloured images etc. I could make one but it took me 2 days to glue it together.

My day in a recliner that I am in bed when it's time to turn out the lights.

And now my card.

The super cute penguin image is a digital stamp from Bugaboo Stamps it was already coloured and layered on the tag die. Ribbon was on my desk. Card base from my file folder I did have to cut the striped layer  and because the die cut sentiment I had from my stash wasn't suitable I did die cut the Happy Holidays (when turning the handle of the big shot I hit something and a magnet with cog dies one it and a few other things have hit the floor, one more thing my daughter is going to have to pick up for me)

Close up of the Bugaboo image sadly they are no longer in business. They were Canadian and sponsored many challenges.

I'm adding this to:

It's Jingle Belle Time!!!

Well slipping in with 1 1/2 hours to spare I finally got my card done for the Jingle Belles Rock challenge to use Stripes and/or Stars on your project. I had this card planned for almost the whole time the challenge was live, it just seemed everything was out to delay me, being retired I should have oodles of time to craft but between June 30 and July 10th I have 6 birthday cards to make along with two Grad cards, that being said I'm happy to get a Holiday card done, so here is my striped non-traditional coloured card.

Let me introduce you to "Winter Dragon" isn't he just the cutest thing, he is running a close second to my darling Narwal. After 4 years I finally had a chance to go to Scrapfest in Kitchener and found this Lawn Fawn set on for half price I bought both the stamp set and die set. The glitter cardstock is from the dollar store and I have no idea where the striped paper is from.

Closer look at the "frostyville wreath" from Memory box  dated 2013 and the super sweet dragon.

Finished the inside of the 5 1/2 inch square card with a piece of patterned paper and a Hero Arts Sentiment. (my fav.)

I am adding this to:

Jingle Belles Rock Challenge ~~ Stars or Stripes forever. plus a Double Trouble Challenge.

Double Trouble Paper Crafting ~ Christmas in July

Thanks for checking in today now I'd better get it on the Challenges.

Twinkle

Hello and welcome to the July's Happy little Stampers Christmas Challenge, hard to believe it's here so soon. The July challenge is Anything Goes and the option is Twinkle.

I am back to the cottage for the Canada Day weekend this is my second time bring craft items, I have the basics that stay all summer and the rest I tote back and forth and I'm not doing so well remembering o bring sentiments that match the theme of  the planed card. This time I packed glitter cardstock but  what I planned on using would not die cut so plan b which didn't work out but will be used. I did tuck a 6.5 inch X 3.25 inch piece of silver glitter cardstock which cut beautifully but it shed so much glitter I was covered and because it's humid it's still sticking to me. But since it was my last shot at getting my card done I had to run with it.

I made a mini slimline card 6.25 X 3.25, I cut the ornaments and flat attached them to the red layer which was then on the off cut from the ornaments, I covered as much as I could to minimalize shedding.  The sentiment will be added when I get home

Close up of the ornaments so you can see they are silver not gold, perhaps it is because I used a red background.
By the end of the summer I might be organize, I can only hope.

Thank for stopping by and you have the month of July to get a few holiday cards done and add them to the Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge for July, remember it's always anything goes but you have the option of making it TWINKLE.

Challenge #500 ~~ Celebrating by the Numbers.

How can it be July already and how can it be Shopping Our Stash's 500th challenge!! Well to celebrate this occasion we want to see a celebration card with at least 1 number on it.  Lots of occasions to celebrate at this time of the year....Graduation, Canada Day (July 1st), July 4th in the U.S.A. and of course lots of birthdays and anniversaries that you can add a number to. Since I have a great grandson heading to Grade one in the fall I made him a Grad card. I am in the process of making a card for his sister who will be entering high school in September. (it would be done but I changed my plan) Have a peek at the card I made.

Since I was shopping my stash everything on this card is over 5 years old. The stamp I used is from Penny Black, and the patterned paper is Bo Bunny. The alphas/numerals are flat attached and the image is elevated with a couple of ovals of 110 lb cardstock.

Close up of the super cute hedgie, and he looks so happy.

No inside sentiment yet I want print it off the computer.

Thanks for visiting today and I hope you will join us to celebrate the 500th challenge at
