It's a Penguin Kind of Day!!

I don't think it's cold enough here in South Western Ontario for penguins it's above freezing and a misty/foggy/snowy day, the weatherman missed the mark on our "major" storm, then again the weekend isn't over yet. The month of January has just flown by and it's already a day past Rudolph Days but I was prepared this month and have a card already.

Now are those not the cutest penguins playing in the snow? These guys are from Bugaboo Digital Stamps. The wonky frame is from Gina Marie designs. Patterned paper is some I bought at Scrapfest last April.

Close up of the trio. I did give the accessories a "wink" of stella.

The base is a piece of Kraft cardstock and the scalloped layer both were leftovers from another card. The sentiment is from Hero Arts and has become my new fav.

I am adding this card to:

Are You Ready?................

The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers presents our Annual A is for Anti-Valentine Challenge!!  Of course my mind went right to the one, the only, Stella from Bugaboo Stamps, she is one of the queens of snark.

The image is from Bugaboo Stamps, the patterned paper is Mindseye (found it at Dollarama a couple of years ago) The diecuts are the original Spellbinders dies.

Close up of Stella, I added wink of stella to the hearts and crystal effects to her glasses.
I have finished the inside with a scrap of patterned paper but I could not find the Valentine stamp I wanted to use, I have a back up but there is still time before I need to send the card.

Thanks for visiting today and don't forget to head over to the Main Blog to check out the design team cards, there are some really snarky ones to see.

Shopping Our Stash is feeling the Winter Blues.............

Challenge 412 at Shopping Our Stash is Winter Blues we want you to create a winter blue card or a card that is predominately blue.  This was a much easier one for me than last challenge can you believe I had nothing in the line of gnomes and besides that I'm struggling to do any creating, it literally took me 75% of the day to make my card and the image was already coloured.  Finally I found a sketch at Sunday Stamps that pushed me to get the project done. So here is my Winter Blues card.

Very stash bustin' card here, With all the cardstock the only one I had to get a fresh 8 1/2 X 11 piece, the rest was from my hanging file folders that hold my off cuts. The patterned paper I think might be bo bunny and my last one of this design. The blue and white baker's twine I haven't a clue when I bought it. The sentiment is a Tim Holtz Christmas sentiment package I have just opened and I think I've had it for a year.

Close up of the super cute Bugaboo image. I used wink of stella on the snow and hi hat.

Finished inside with a Hero Arts sentiment (a prize from the Jingle Belles)
Now thinking about the sentient it hasn't been fun here in Canada, lots of snow and very cold temperatures, It's a wonderful time of the year....to stay in and craft.

I am entering this in these challenges.

January 2020!! and a New ATC challenge at The Happy Little Stampers ~~ and a Surprise!!

Hello friends, family and followers!! welcome to my first official post of 2020 and I have an announcement...I was accepted to be on the ATC team at Happy Little Stampers. I have played along with them when I have time and these little 2 1/2 X 3 1/2 inch creations are fun to make, you can also make a 2 1/2 inch round "coin" they are just as much fun.  The theme for the month of January is Masculine.

When I design a Masculine card I always head for "car" dies and stamps and I picked a new set that has many parts, and of course Red Trucks are very in vogue this year. The set comes with many different sentiments to use for the licence plate and several different items you can place in the "box".  Here is what I ended up with.

I wanted a minimal plaid for the background so the truck was the focal point, The word sentiments can be used with or without the frame and I decided it needed to be silver along with some of the other accessories. The dots I used both for decoration and for the tail lights are Stardream Stickers.

Stop by the ATC Challenge page and see what the rest of the design team have made for the Masculine challenge.

Thanks for visiting today and have fun with the challenge.

A Masculine Christmas Card.....

I was asked if I could make a masculine Christmas card with a motorcycle on it, and of course I said yes. I used the motorcycle stamp retired from Stampin'up and coloured it blue as the recipient's motorcycle is blue.

I wanted the stamped image to be the focal point so added a super cute snowman patterned paper and backed the image with a deep red cardstock. If you enlarge the picture you can see the sentiments on the card. Merry Christmas sticker on the top and With Love die cut at the bottom.

The inside stamped with a IO sentiment and a pair of plaid banners the same as the front.

I would like to add this to:

Catching up with the Holiday Cards.

I hope all my Friends and Followers had a wonderful Christmas and New Years, I was under the weather for a lot of the holidays but made the best of it. Visit one day and sleep/rest the next. Now I'm seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.  I just thought since I had a few extra cards I made last minute I would show them off.

Although you can not tell the turquoise is a very fine glitter paper and looks fab. IRL. This was a very quick and easy card to make, and I love the non-traditional colour. It really would look awesome in any colour.

A strip of glitter paper was added to the inside along with one of my favourite vertical sentiment stamps.

I would like to enter this in:
