Second Week of the Make a Tag Challenge……
It was a really long Saturday night here at the cottage, some renters don’t know the meaning of quiet between 11 and 8, at 3 a.m. out came a guitar and the singing began and badly too. I managed to sleep from 4 until 7.30, but by 8 it was guitar playing and singing and I use that term loosely Thanks for stopping by to look at what I have created and please stop by The Cheerful Stamp Pad to see the rest of the design team's tags. Now off to have a power nap.

Mid-Challenge time at Clear it Out Tuesday
In Northern Ontario there are Moose so when I saw this cute moose from QKR Stampede I knew i just had to use him for this challenge, you don’t usually see them lounging around you would see them munching on grasses in the marshes. The sketch I used is from Decontructing Jen, it was so hot and humid today I was having trouble thinking of a sketch for the image so went to the site and found the perfect sketch for both the image and washi tape.
Supplies
Image.. Moose from QKR Stampede
Cardstock…Real Red, Crumb Cake, Early Expresso and GP White
Sentiment and punch from Stampin’up
You have until July 29th to enter the challenge.

The Cheerful Stamp Pad Challenge….A Tag
The background paper for the tag is from McMahon five as is the image and the sentiment. I knew I wanted to use the sentiment as one of my favourite band is the Beatles, I have a lot of their cds and listen to them when I can (hubby is an Elvis fan).
I finally used my Tim Holtz movers and shakers Tag and bookplates die and cut the turquoise and the printed paper, I cut the print down as to show the backing. I used the bookplate for the bottom part of the sentiment. I didn’t think to bring fibres with me to use for the “tail” on the tag but had some cotton yarn so I cut lengths and then unravelled it.
Supplies
Image, patterned paper and sentiment….McMahon Five Designs
Cardstock…..Turquoise, Crushed Curry and GP white.
Accessories…..TH Tag & bookplate die, Spellbinders circles, brads
Cotton yarn, pop dots
Thanks for stopping by today and hope you can get crafty and make us a TAG.

A New Challenge at Clear it Out Tuesday
Hi friends how are you coping with this hot and humid weather? I’m just spending time in the cottage crafting. It’s way too hot to spend time on the beach and too hot to take a walk but I’m getting caught up on some card-making. The new challenge at Clear it Out is International and the stash item is Washi tape…..now you know you have a few rolls hiding in one of the drawers of your crafting desk dig them out and show us how you use it. The international part is self explanatory but if you need to know more check out what the design team has done. Again this challenge we have two great sponsors Digi Darla and QKR Stampede check out the great digis they have for sale.
My card is honouring the Eastern Provinces, the ocean and lighthouses, I chose to showcase Canada which is my country.

You Make a Lovely Couple Week Two
My inspiration for making my card came to me while “listening” to a PBS program on T.V. The program was about the photos the men carried during the Civil War, I am not sure of the size of them I thought perhaps 4 X 5 and some were framed in embossed gold frames and carried in tin boxes to protect them. Being at the cottage I hadn’t brought any gold paper with me so found a gold gift bag and used it. I always seem to be missing something no matter how much I bring with me.
Supplies
Image….Twisted Papers
Cardstock….GP white , Early expresso,and a gold gift bag.
Embossing folder… flowers from a Cuttlebug Asian pack
Spelbinders…large and small oval
Thanks for stopping by today and come back again real soon.

Challenge #64, You make a Lovely Couple
Hello everyone, I hope you had a good weekend and had awesome weather. Our weather here in SWO is hot and humid, what is really nice is I am spending the whole week at the cottage. I plan and pack to craft while here but there are always things I forget but for this challenge I had everything. Check out what the other girls on the design team have done, you just gave to click HERE.
The challenge is “ You Make A Lovely Couple” and it is sponsored by Twisted Papers and they are on Facebook. I have trouble getting to things on Facebook since here at the cottage it’s dial-up, an a lot of time things don’t load very fast. When I chose my image for the challenge I knew right away I wanted it to be an ATC card, these are cute 2 1/3 X 3 1/2 inch cards, they are never sold, only traded or given away. Here is my artist trading card for the challenge and I hope you will join us at The Cheerful Stamp Pad
Supplies
Image from Twisted Papers
Cardstock…Close to Cocoa, Early expresso
Dies Spellbinder rectangles, Fancy Labels 8 (the flourishes)
Accessories…. Woodgrain embossing folder, pearls
Thanks for looking today and have a fabulous day!!!

Make Someone’s Day and use Something Glittery
The image I used is Tulips and Bugs from Bugaboo, it is one of the newer stamps and I was so glad I got to use it for the challenge. I coloured the image with my prisma colour pencils and OMS I used a glue pen and traced the swirls and dots then added some prisma glitter. I then added a few amber rhinestones to the card, these are my stash item.
Supplies
Image Tulips and bugs from Bugaboo
Spellbinder Resplendent Rectangle die
Cardstock Yellow, old olive and GP white
Although you really can’t see it the white was embossed with a Butterflies embossing folder.
Ribbon from offray & rhinestones from my stash.
Thanks for looking today and Happy 4th of July on Thursday to my U.S. followers.

From the Past is on for another week at……………..
The Cheerful Stamp Pad and the sponsor is still Vintage Image Craft. Head over to their Facebook page and check out the free images that you can use for the challenge.
Happy Canada Day for all my Canadian followers, it’s July 1st and Canada is 146 years old. There will be some great parades and fireworks this weekend, Port Dover has a huge parade and a lot of other festivities on July 1st. There is a band tattoo and fireworks in the evening.
On with the card…..I used a vintage fairy image from Vintage Image Craft, I printed it on Very Vanilla and layered it on Old Olive and a bright yellow, I popped it up on a base of Very Vanilla and Old Olive that I punched with the Fleur dis Lis EK punch.
Thanks for stopping by today and have a wonderful day!!!
