Black & White is the Challenge at Shopping Our Stash!!

Hello again friends it's time for a new challenge at Shopping Our Stash and Mimi chose the theme Black & White, what is more elegant than that?  As most of you know I'm crafting at the cottage and sometimes I have trouble remembering what is there and my B&W paper pad wasn't, fortunately I had a 12 X 4 1/4 scrap there just enough for my project as long as I didn't make a wrong cut. (I didn't) So without any more chit-chat here is my project.

I made a "screen" card, these are easy if you have a couple of discontinued punches.  I started with a 11 X 5 1/2 piece of black cardstock scored lightly at 2 3/4 5 1/2 and 8 1/4 then useing the Fleur dis Lis border punch I punched across the top, then scored heavier, Using the retired Decorative label punch  I punched the botton on the 4 panels.  Well there is 2 from my stash that hasn't been used in a long time. I layered the patterned paper on white cardstock. The mini doily dies I've not had too long but hadn't used them yet. I added black die cut flowers, a butterfly and a die cut message to each panel and I added some white pearls to the butterfly bodies.

Closer look at the first two panels

Closer look at the last two panels

This card folds in half for mailing in a square envelope.

Stash items are the two punches, the patterned paper 2 years old, butterflies ancient who knows when I bought the pearls and the flower dies are at least 3 years old. Of course the mini words are are well loved.

Adding this to:

A Place to Start ~~ July theme Flowers.
Thanks for stopping by today and don't forget to check the Main Blog there are many more B&W projects to inspire you to join us for the challenge.

Ohh!! I haven't seen a screen card in a long time, you just brought it back to my mind, love this style of cards, you can cover each panel with anything you want.
The DSP is beautiful and all your die cut details look so elegant on each panel.
I'm going to use this fun fold real soon.
Awesome card, Barbara.
