Jingle All the Way ~~ Part 2

Hello friends, family and followers, it's Saturday the start of another great weekend!!

On Thursday I posted a card for Merry Monday Christmas challenge I had coloured two images but only finished one so yesterday when the Jingle Belles challenge popped into my in-box I knew I needed to finish it and then I have another 2-fer. Gotta love it.  Sooooo here it is!!

The super cute stamp is from House Mouse Designs "Jingle Buds" featuring Maxwell and Monica, the image was cut with my Elizabeth Craft Designs stitched rectangles and Jingle all the Way stamp I saw and knew I needed it for this image there is no maker on the stamp, I saw a doily in my scrap pile and thought I need to use that it's one more layer, then of course some rhinestone sparkle and stickles glitter above the bells not sure if it shows in the picture.

Inside Sentiment from Stampendous "Christmas Wishes" stamped on a Top Note die cut.

Challenges I would like to enter:

Have a look and see what I've done.

Fluffles again making lots of noise, I just love these cute kittens no longer on the Stampendous site.

Shopping Our Stash Challenge # 240 ~~ One is a Lonely Number ~~ One Layer Card

Looking for my Clear it Out post scroll down or click HERE.

Shopping Our Stash  has done a fabulous job of creating "my nemesis" One Layer Cards, I think I do one or two every year and always for a challenge for the design team. I'm totally lost when I can "add" more and more but I bit the bullet, took one for the team and made a One Layer Card!!!

For my card I used Very Vanilla cardstock, Tim Holtz distress markers and Inspired by Nature set from Stampin'up to create a watercolour look (I hope)

The sentiment is from the same set but the butterfly is from a different Stampin'up set called Nature Walk (retired) and coloured with the distress markers.

I made a few errors along the way to the finished product but I am pleased with it. Thanks for stopping by today and the SOS team would love to see how you create One Layer Card.

Welcome Back to a New Challenge at Clear it Out Tuesday!!!

Clear it Out Tuesday's Challenge #105's theme is use food related digis and the stash item is plaids (gingham ribbon, plaid patterned paper) The sponsors for the challenge are Robyns Fetish Digital Stamps and Star Stampz. I used a cute digi from Robyns Fetish.

This is a real fun image and the sentiment was computer generated, the candy dots are my home made ones and I remembered what the stash item was before the card was totally finished.

Close up of the image and I even got the sewing machine out did some stitching.

Finished the inside for an Anniversary card and added more plaid.

Thanks for stopping by today I hope you will get out your food related digis and join the challenge at Clear it Out Tuesday.

Seasons Greetings is from Impression Obsession of course the crocheted oval mat from Jessi and the embossing folder is Gently Falling from Stampin'up

Finished the inside with a sentiment on the top note die cut.

It's Challenge Time at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers ~~ M is for Mixed Media

The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers wants you to get inky and show us some Mixed Media. I must mention I am not at all into mixed media like the rest of the design team, their projects are fabulous but I did some (a lot) of surfing of techniques and mixed media and settled on making a tag, I figured I couldn't mess something that small up and I didn't.
First I cut two tags with the Tim Holtz tag die and unwrapped the dylusions sprays I bought around the end of the year, I have turquoise and purple two of my favourite colours. I then spritzed the tag with water then the dylusions sprays, mopped up the over spray with the tag then gave it a shot of simmer spray. With that said...her is my tag.

Once the tag dried I dug a few odd stamps out, french script, the art of life and Take time and sort of stamped not so randomly. I have only used stencils once so I dug out the message wreath from Hero Arts and pondered, what if I mess this part up I will have to start over, but I manage to use the dauber and purple distress ink and was pleased with the outcome. To finish it off I added some metal dots and a butterfly.

Close up of the butterfly

I love this stamp from Stampabilities.

I am sure this won't be the last time I attempt Mixed Media, I have a small canvas I would like to try something on but that means more surfing and stressing, but I hope a lot of fun.

Thanks for stopping by today and check out the SoSS Blog and see what awesome project the rest of the design team have done.

Anyone for Skating?

Merry Monday Christmas Challenge was new last Monday and I wanted to get it done but it took me all week to find some time to work on it. A friend asked me to make her a couple of birthday cards so that went to the top of the crafting list but when I coloured the images I sneaked in a cute little mousie and I found a bit of time this morning to put my card together.

I don't know the company this little skating mouse is from as I received it from a friend but with the berries in his hat it qualified for the Berries challenge at Merry Monday.

Before Christmas I bought a skate die and it's the first I have used it, I have a holly punch from EK and I punched the holly and berries and attached them with the skates.

I used the same embossing folder for the inside as I did the front.

Shopping Our Stash #239 ~~ Fantastic Plastic

Shopping Our Stash want to see Fantastic Plastic - use something plastic on your card/project. (not necessarily recycled)  I didn't use anything recycled but I used some ancient plastic heart buttons and a newer plastic shaker card cup (not sure what to call it) it sure makes it a bit easier to make a shaker card.

Valentine day was on Sunday and of course I had to make my great grandson a Valentine card, the image is a freebie from Bugaboo Stamps, the patterned paper is from Michaels.

Close up of the adorable monkey and the beads and buttons (boy those beads were hard to control)

More patterned paper and the sentiment is from Inkadinkadoo

Looking for my Clear it Out Post? scroll down or click HERE.

Wow what a great challenge at Shopping Our Stash ~~ All Bent Out of Shape, all we want you to do is make a shaped card, this will get your brain and fingers moving. My brain was working as I rarely make shaped cards with the exception of "teepee" cards they are quick, easy and so cute but I wanted something different so here is what I made for the shaped challenge.

I made a chalkboard easel card, I used the Hardwood background stamp from Stampin'up and a
Big Day from 2015 Sale-a-Bration promotion (first time using it)

Close up of the sentiments

This is the back of the chalkboard as you see I used all the stamps from the set. woohoo. Inks I used were White stazon, versafine sepia, memento tuxedo black, card stock Crumb Cake.

I'm Dreaming of Something Warm ~~ Challenge # 237 at Shopping Our Stash

Can you believe it? It's the second of February already...Wow. It's also Ground Hog Day but I don't know yet whether any of the ground hogs have seen there shadow until later this morning. I'll have to check later to see if we have an early spring or the dreaded 6 more weeks of Winter.

Shopping Our Stash has a fabulous challenge ~~ I'm Dreaming of Something Warm, the interpretation is up to you. You could create a project with a cuppa tea, mug of coffee, hot chocolate, a warm beach, anything that is warm and cozy.  Now when I get really chilled I head for the bathroom and get in a really warm bubble bath and just soak it all up, sometimes I take a good book with me to read and try not to doze off and have a soggy novel. Here is what I made for the challenge.

The colours I used are blue and kraft, I added the paw prints on the scrap of kraft and finished it with a cute ribbon  The background is embossed with the bubbles embossing folder.

Close up of the super cute bunny from House Mouse Designs, I added three pearls for the bubbles.

Finished inside of the card with one of my favourite Birthday stamps.
