Cat Lovers Unite!!! The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Challenge is K is for Kitties.

I was so excited about this Kitty challenge as I have many many kitty stamps, it was hard to pick one so I picked two. I used images from Stitchy Bear/Barbara Jensen.  The first card is very plain but there might be some snark on the inside. Check it out.

Now isn't this some "Cattitude" I just love this image. we have closed the cottage and brought all my crafty stuff home, so far I haven't managed to get it back to where it all belongs, so it's taking me twice as long to craft and I don't see much happening in the next few days either. Life sure gets in the way sometimes.

I thought this sentiment worked perfect for the image.

Now for my second card ~~ Christmas kitty

Another kitty from Stitchy Bear/Barbara Jensen, the Santa hat is from High Hopes along with the sentiment "Merry Christmas, EH!" Just a little bit Canadian LOL.

I used the snow flurries embossing folder and I think the sentiment is from Stampendous.

Cat Lover's Blog hop Card 2

Here is my second card for the Cat Lover's Blog Hop, I have so many cat stamps I could probably have entered two cards every day for at least a week. Fluffles is one of my favourites, they were made by Stampendous and they have been deleted from their roster. You can still pick them up on EBay. I used one of my Fluffles Christmas stamps, it was a tough job picking just one.

This is a fun stamp and I was working on using up some  scraps too.

Thanks for checking again today and I promise its the last one for today but do check back tomorrow for the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Challenge.

A Cat Lover's Blog Hop meets the Tuesday Morning Sketch.

Finally I found a little bit of time to create a card for the  Cat Lover's Blog Hop, I loved the Tuesday Morning Sketch this week and knew I wanted to try it, I'm sure I will use this one again.

I used my Penny Black cat stamp with presents, this works for Birthdays as well as Christmas and have used it a few times for both. The sentiment is a UFO I found while rummaging through my "bits" box, it's from a retired set from Stampin'up. The die cut is Fleur dis lis square from Spellbinders. The snowflakes are EK punches.

Sorry for the fuzzy picture but it does show the super cute Cat.

Challenge #225 at Shopping Our Stash is ~~ Go Paperless!!!

Looking for my Clear it Out Tuesday post scroll down or click HERE

Shopping our Stash is going paperless ~~ which means NO patterned paper allowed.  Now I make lots of cards without patterned paper until that is the challenge LOL. I really had to put my thinking cap on for this one. Fortunately I needed a masculine Birthday card, you know the ones that are a pain to make. I used a classic car stamp from Class Act Rubber Stamps, they are a Canadian company and go to Scrapfest in Kitchener in the spring. I googled the colours of the '57 Chevy although I should have remembered on my own.

I used a diamond type embossing folder I picked up at Winners one day, I embossed temping turquoise and layered it on black. The dots I used are ones that I have made with perler beads.

The sentiment is also from Class Act Stamps

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you will join us for the challenge ~~ Go Paperless!!!

It's Holiday Time at Clear it Out Tuesday ~~ Halloween? or Christmas? Your Choice

Challenge #97 at Clear it Out Tuesday is HOLIDAY!!! You get to choose between Halloween or Christmas for the theme and the stash item is Die Cuts. The sponsor for this two week challenge is SLS Lines and I chose to do Christmas.  Don't forget to check the main blog for the rules of the challenge and see which holiday the design team members have made.

Here is the sweet scene I have made with my digital image from the sponsor. The image was colored with alcohol markers and fussy cut out. I took scraps of white and tore the edges, the first one attached on top of the patterned paper, then I placed the image and put two more torn scraps on top. My die cuts were the clouds and the trees.

Stickles was added to the ornaments and the pompoms on the hats as well as the torn edges of the "snow"

Here is the inside of the card, now looking at this I think I will add some torn "snow" to the base of the trees.

Thanks for stopping by today and please join us for the Holiday challenge, you have until November 9th at 8 p.m. to enter.

Jingle Belles challenge and an awesome sketch!!!

I had plans to make at least one more card for the Jingle Belle's Pink Christmas challenge and when I saw Jessi's blog post for Tuesday Morning Sketches everything just fit together and I found a little time last night to create.

Everything I used is retired except the snowflake punch and the pink cardstock. I love this paper I have one small square left unless I have some hiding in my pile of papers, must go digging. The cardstock is pink pirouette and sage shadow. The snowman is from Sunshine Designs and is a set of 4, the company that made them has been sold.

Close up of the cute snow-woman and the snowflakes I added pearls just because they were handy on my table.

It's Challenge Time at Shopping Our Stash ~~ #224 Caffeine Fix

It sure was a surprise weekend here in Southwestern Ontario, some places around us had SNOW boy it sure was a cool weekend. The time is here that we close our cottage for the Winter, it isn't winterized, it takes a while to pack everything up that we have managed to bring to the lake over the summer. I took most of my craft supplies back last weekend and only brought what I needed to make a couple of cards.  Well on with the challenge ~~ Shopping Our Stash has another fantastic challenge for you, by now you might be tired of making those Fall/Halloween ones and need a change of pace. The challenge is Caffeine Fix!! use coffee or tea themed things on your project.  Here is what I made.......

I know another house mouse card but they are so cute and this one is in a coffee cup, The cup looks orange but it's really coral and does match the paper. I added the home made dots hoping they remind you of coffee beans. The patterned paper was a scrap, and was the only non-Halloween paper I had here.

I stamped the little critter on a scrap of cardstock and fussy cut him out and popped him up.

Of course I didn't to drag too much with me so I don't have a appropriate sentiment.
Thanks for stopping by today and if you need a caffeine fix please join us for the challenge.

It's Saturday!!! Time for a New Challenge at The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers

For the second year of challenges  the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers brings you H is for Pink Halloween. We had so much fun last year with the challenge we knew we had to do it again.  I got a super cute Halloween sweetie from That Craft Place Ltd. coloured her in dark grey and pink. Let's not delay any longer ~~ here is my card for the challenge.

As you see I'm home from the cottage, no outside pictures, (insert sad face) It was way too windy to try taking a picture outside anyway. I stamped the patterned paper with versamark watermark and embossed it in black, although you can't really see it well it is bare trees with owls on it, since my craft supplies are in boxes I am not sure the company but got it last year in a clearance bin at the Butterfly Moon. I fussy cut the image, made a frame with the decorative oval and regular oval, layered on pink and mounted it on a black base.

Close up of the super sweet image, and you can see the patterned paper.

As usual I haven't located the one and only Halloween sentiment I have so this is still blank.

And then there was MORE PURPLE ~~~~ join the Hop To Stop

Shopping Our Stash blog post is HERE.
Clear it Out Tuesday blog post is HERE.

I have already entered one card but I knew I wanted to do more, this morning Becca announced only three more cards and they have reach 200 so here one of them is......

This card was made with not one but two UFOs (unfinished objects) first the image, printed but not coloured and been in my stash for about a year or maybe more, it is from Digi Darla which sadly has closed, next the lacy rectangle keeps popping up in my ufo stash so now it is used, it was cut on stardream cardstock and didn't work for an earlier project.

Close up of the image.

Since this could be used for a get well, a thinking of you or Birthday, the inside is not stamped.

There is still one day left to join the Hop To Stop (domestic violence) I hope you will join or go see all the wonderful cards and read some stories they are inspiring. Here is the link to Becca's Blog.

Thanks for checking my blog today.

Shopping Our Stash Challenge #223 ~~~ I Can See Clearly Now

Looking for my Clear it Out Post scroll down or click HERE.

Leslie has done it again!!! Shopping Our Stash Challenge #223 I Can See Clearly Now is an awesome challenge. We want you to use acetate (make a clear card, make a shaker card, etc.) what a great idea.  Shaker cards are a lot of fun and I've made a few of them this year already I'm also trying to bulk up my Christmas cards. Here is what I made for the challenge.

The stamp I used is from a Stampin'up Set that is long retired but I love this set, this image is just perfect for the window  die. I also used some ancient patterned paper and one cat from the set of cat dies.

This gives a 3D look of the window, sequins and Martha Stewart snow glitter.

Inside of the card and I used a rub-on tree from a package I bought at a yard sale, the package matches the patterned paper.

It's New Challenge time at Clear it Out Tuesday!!!

It's been a fun long weekend in Canada, it's our Thanksgiving and it's so hard to get going with my card and blog. Some of our family came to visit us at the cottage on Monday and we had a BBQ.

The challenge at Clear it Out Tuesday is a Colour Challenge ~~ White and one other colour, if you are using an image it can be coloured, we don't need any white faces lol.  I really struggled with this challenge although I often make white and one other colour this one was a little daunting. I chose a Halloween digi from Bugaboo designs and after I coloured it I decided to make a shaker card.

I used some rust coloured sequins for the shaker part of the card, the background is embossed with a pumpkin folder.

Another angle of the front of the card, the inside is not finished as I will find a nice Halloween sentiment on the internet.

Happy Hopper and House Mouse Babies

Happy Thanksgiving to my Canadian friends, family and followers and to my U.S. followers Happy Columbus Day for those that celebrate. To all other followers just have an awesome day!!!

I was asked by a friend to made a baby boy card to put with her gift for her new grandson and of course I went into overdrive and made three. The one she chose I didn't get a picture of,  I forget quite often to take a picture of the cards I make for others, I've seen me tear the envie apart to photograph it on more than one occasion. Here are the two extras I now have.

Using the awesome sketch from the Crooked Stamper Sketch Challenge #9  I made a simple card with the cute House Mouse Design Stamp, I purchase a die "it's a boy girl" and this was my chance to try it out.  I used two embossing folders, Argyle and Swiss Dots. Finished it off with a tiny button brad and some baker's twine. On to the second card.

This time I used a Happy Hopper, isn't the bunny adorable, I love this stamp. I used the argyle cuttlebug embossing folder for this one and some more baker's twine. The congratulation is a gold peel and stick sentiment, I wanted the bunny to shine. There are no sentiments on the inside as I packed up a lot of my stamps and took them home last trip, we will be closing the cottage soon as it is getting cooler and we don't want to have a freeze up.

Shopping Our Stash Challenge #222 ~~ Birthday!!!

The Shopping Our Stash Crew wants you to go way back, remember the first Birthday stamp you bought? well we want you to use it on your project.  My first birthday stamp or should I say stamps I purchased at a yard sale before I even started stamping, I bought almost everything she had for sale even though I didn't know how to use any of it. It was my first house mouse stamp and it is dated 1998 from Stampa Rosa.

This is still one of my favourite Birthday stamps, I elevated the one mouse and the candle.

Close up of the candle and mouse.

Finished inside using a 1996 Hero Arts Happy Birthday which is well loved.

Here are my two oldest Birthday Stamps.

Happy Birthday Sprinkles

Two of my team-mates on a design team posted cards for the Hop to Stop ~~ domestic violence.  I knew I wanted to participate so in the midst of packing up some of my crafty things to take home from the cottage I made a card. First sorting through some images I found a "UFO" as another teamie call it when she finds a "un-finished object". I often colour images and tuck them away and it's exciting when it is done in the right colours. If you want to join the Hop to Stop head over to the Damsel  of Distressed Cards, there you will find the rules to join and see what great prizes too.

The image I used is from House Mouse Designs the patterned paper is from the dollar store and the candy dots I made with mini pony beads.

The inside is partially finished as my sentiment is at home and I wanted to take the picture outside at the cottage in the sunshine instead of home under a lamp.

These are the sponsors for the Hop to Stop October 1st to October 14th. please join us.
